Join our leadership team.

Our annual leadership elections are coming up—this is your chance to join the leadership team and help build LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy in Idaho.

Whether or not you’re running for a position, as a dues-paying member, you have a vote in deciding who will lead the Caucus in the year ahead. Your vote is important in this process.

Election FAQ

    • Date of Meeting: January 13, 2025

    • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

    • Location: Virtual Meeting

  • We are accepting nominations for all leadership roles.

    1. State Chair – Leads the Caucus statewide and oversees all activities.

    2. State Vice Chair – Assists the Chair and builds cooperation across regions.

    3. Treasurer – Manages finances, reporting, and fundraising.

    4. Records Chair – Maintains meeting records, membership lists, and communications.

    5. Regional Chairs (7) – Represent specific Idaho regions.

    6. Membership Director – Drives recruitment and membership engagement.

    7. Legislative Director – Leads legislative advocacy and grassroots mobilization.

    8. Communications Director – Manages outreach, social media, and public messaging.

    9. Events Coordinator – Plans events to engage members, allies, and voters.

    10. Voter & Candidate Director – Supports voter education and LGBTQIA+ candidates for office.

    If you’re unsure which role might fit your skills or interests, reach out! We’re happy to provide guidance.

    1. Submit Your Interest: Fill out the Indication of Interest Form by December 26, 2024.

    2. Candidate Slate: Final candidates will be announced on December 29, 2024, in compliance with our bylaws.

    3. Vote for Your Leaders: Elections will take place during our January 13 meeting.

  • Yes. In line with our bylaws, there are certain requirements.

  • Serving in a leadership role allows you to:

    • Advocate for LGBTQIA2S+ rights and representation statewide.

    • Organize and amplify the voices and needs of our community.

    • Build coalitions and strengthen connections across Idaho.

    • Shape the direction of the Queer Caucus and its work within the Idaho Democratic Party.

    Even if you don’t plan to run, as a dues-paying member, you have the power to vote for our next leadership team.
